The Hanging Gardens of Babylon is considered one of the seven ancient wonders of the world. It's location is described as being about 50 miles south of Baghdad in present day Al Hillah, Babil, Iraq. It's construction was an act of love by King Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon, who ruled Babylon in 605 BC, to please his home sick wife, Amytis of Media.
