One of the most famous American figures to inexplicably disappear was Jimmy Hoffa, the famed president of the Teamsters Union from 1957 until he went to prison in 1967. There was no question that Hoffa had a lot of enemies in his day and perhaps none so powerful as Robert F. Kennedy, the president’s brother and the attorney general from 1961 to 1964.
