The age of Derinkuyu is hard to determine, though the most popular estimates put the date of construction between 1,000 and 800 B.C.E.

Sodom and Gomorrah were two cities described in the Book of Genesis and mentioned in other texts, such as the New Testament.

Amid the above story, Genesis contains a few small clues that potentially point in the direction of Eden, though they are hardly explicit.
